Jeremy Shaw | Degenerative Imaging (3 Years Substance Abuse)
2015 | uv print on glow-in-the-dark vinyl on dibond | 24.75 x 28.75 in
Shaw’s interest in altered mental states is immediate in this large-scale UV print, which uses glow-in-the-dark vinyl, mounted on dibond. Degenerative Imaging (3 Years Substance Abuse) confronts viewers with the physiological effects of altered states. The materials and techniques Shaw employs produce a visually pleasing and troubling image.
